	Camchain tensioner The oem stock tensoiner is spring loaded so that it is maintance free, the disadvantage with this compromise is that it can back off if used in a race engine or the engine is used aggressively such as a track day or on the drag strip. Stock tensioners also preload the camchain and tensoiner wheels, this results in accelerated wear. This is why most race/trackday bikes have the manual billet tensoiner fitted, it can not back off and so reliability is not an issue, another reason engine tuners fit this piece is because it does not preload the chain and so friction/wear is reduced, and power is increased. Steering bearing set, BRG 1283 Bad handling is often a result of worn head race bearings, as it is as much work to grease the bearings as it is to replace them, they are often neglected at service intervals. Bad road surfaces and wheelies will result in accelerated wear in the bearings. To check your bearings lift the bike so that the front forks and wheel are free to rotate, if there is a"dead spot" or notch when the forks are gently turned either side of straight ahead, your bearings need replacing.
