Camchain tensioner ST750
The oem stock tensoiner is spring loaded so that it is maintance free, the disadvantage with this compromise is that it can back off if used in a race engine or the engine is used aggressively such as a track day or on the drag strip. Stock tensioners also preload the camchain and tensoiner wheels, this results in accelerated wear. This is why most race/trackday bikes have the manual billet tensoiner fitted, it can not back off and so reliability is not an issue, another reason engine tuners fit this piece is because it does not preload the chain and so friction/wear is reduced, and power is increased.

Pingel fuel tap with adaptor, 6211
Tuned Bandits's often show signs of fuel starvation at high rpm, the stock vacuum operated fuel tap is often overlooked as the cause of this problem, if your tap does not deliver 2 litres in 1 minute then you will restrict performance. The Pingel high flow fuel tap has a polished alloy body, chrome plated on-off lever with reserve, so is much more attractive than the dull grey ugly stock item. This tap comes complete with your choice of mounting adaptor, chose the A2001 nut to fit the 22mm boss on the tank or one of the 2 bolt adaptor plates. Measurements for the adaptor plates are from bolt hole centre to centre, (measure the distance between the two bolt holes in your fuel tank).

Most riders know that performance camshafts require the correct cam timing to obtain reliability and maximum gain in power, but even stock engines will benifit form precise cam timing, we have found substainal gains in power by degreeing the cams in, many bikes roll off the production line with a stack up of toloerences that lead to the camshafts being several degrees out of the desired position, add camchain stretch, wear on the guides and even more power is lost. These cam sprockets will enable you to degree the camshafts in, they are cnc machined so that they are a precise fit onto the camshafts and are also heat treated for an extra long life. Clutch upgrade HDCK3417
The 96-02 Bandit 1200 has a weak clutch, the diameter of the plates is too small and there is a feeble diagphram clutch spring. We can offer an upgrade which consists of a set of replacement fibre plates, a heavy duty diagphram spring, 2 thicker steel plates to replace 2 of the original thin plates and a clutch cover gasket. If you need an even stronger clutch we offer a large diameter clutch plate conversion with a coil spring set. Call for more details.

Heavy Duty Cylinder Stud Set CS1127GSX
Heavy duty cylinder studs are necessary to prevent head gasket leakage in high compression and turbo charged engines. Stock cylinder studs are made from a mild steel and will stretch, this then leads to head gaskets failing, old stock studs also become brittle and can break. These APE studs are manufactured from heat treated chrome moly with rolled threads for extra strength. APE also manufacturer heavy duty main bearing stud kits, made from the same special chrome moly as the cylinder studs

Bad handling is often a result of worn head race bearings, as it is as much work to grease the bearings as it is to replace them, they are often neglected at service intervals. Bad road surfaces and wheelies will result in accelerated wear in the bearings. To check your bearings lift the bike so that the front forks and wheel are free to rotate, if there is a"dead spot" or notch when the forks are gently turned either side of straight ahead, your bearings need replacing.
